In class we work and play using the principles of the Limón technique (breath, opposition and weight) and different contemporary styles.
Dancers will explore questions on movement texture, rhythm, expressiveness, initiation, release/control, expansiveness, fall and recovery, rebound, suspension, succession, isolation and much more.
Class also includes floor work and improvisation as well as phrase sequences.
The class aims to prepare the dancers optimally for the demands of today's contemporary dance scene.
"I see dance technique as a tool to communicate the dancer's message to the audience as precisely and authentically as possible."
